North West may have two of the most famous parents in the world (and
the bank account to match), but that doesn’t mean she’s going to have a
free ride in life.
That’s right, because once Nori is old enough, she’s going to have to
get herself a job, just like her mom, Kim Kardashian, did when she was
younger.
“I was saying that earlier to my friends, ‘I wonder what [North's]
first job is gonna be.’ And they were like, ‘What? She’s gonna have a
job?’ and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course she is,’ ” Kim
shared with London’s Evening Standard magazine. “She will have to work for what she wants.”
Little North is already well on her way, booking a gig posing for CR Fashion Book and landing a spot in Vogue magazine — not bad for a 16-month-old!
But since Nori’s still in diapers, Kim agreed it’s still “too early
to tell” what her daughter’s profession will be, though the reality star
speculated that “maybe she’ll be a designer” like her dad, Kanye West.
And if North wants certain things at a young age, she’s going to have
to work for that too — a lesson Kim learned from her parents when she
was a teen.
“I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted or,
like, in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn’t buy me
and I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to
get them,” she said. “We didn’t get anything — we had to get a job if we
wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and
save.”
