Barcelona might not play in the La Liga if referendum gets signed

"FC Barcelona have signed the Catalan national pact for self-determination
," the club said in a statement on their website. "FC Barcelona formalised their adhesion in a formal letter from president Josep Maria Bartomeu to the pact co-ordinator Joan Rigol. "The pact brings together over 3,500 organisations and associations from a wide spectre range of social and political positions which endorse the Catalan people's right to self-determination." Barca defender Gerard Pique was under fire during this latest international break for showing support for Catalan's independence. If La Liga eject Barca from the division following independence -something even Real Madrid's rival stars are against.Ligue 1 has in the past been mooted as a potential new home for the prestigious Catalan club.
